At Christ Community Church we are deeply committed to the biblical belief that parents have the primary responsibility to teach their sons and daughters about who God is, who they are and what Christ has done in coming to earth. We believe that this responsibility does not stop with childhood, but continues through the teenage years. Our teenager’s greatest need is to know and place their hope in the saving power of the gospel and to grow as genuine disciples of Jesus Christ. To achieve this, our pastors and parents both take an active role in playing their part in the youth ministry at CCC.
At our youth meetings, parents play a significant role. We not only encourage them to attend youth meetings, but to be active participants. When our teens encounter God in these events, we want mom or dad to have the opportunity to minister to them. We believe this will in turn facilitate opportunities for parents to continue to care for their teen’s souls when they return home. As pastors we want to do all we can to build a ministry that helps parents and teens grow closer in these years and not further apart.
Our Regular Meetings (Click Here for Schedule)
Twice a month on Thursdays, all teens and their parents are invited to join us at our Church House. This is a time of games, snacks, worship through song, expository teaching through a Psalm, and discussion.
The theme for the 2018-2019 year is "Facts Over Feelings: Looking at The Heart of The Psalms." We hope that you will join us!
On select Saturdays, we will be having an inductive Bible study through sections of Psalm 119. All teens are encouraged to bring their Bibles and a place to record notes. Location: Church House
Guys & Gals Night
On select Saturdays, we will be having a time of fellowship during which split our Crossfire ladies and gentlemen for a devotion focusing on biblical womanhood and manhood. Location: Church House
Summer Youth Camp
Each year we partner with other Sovereign Grace churches in the area to put on a 4-day camp at Crossway Church's property in Lancaster, PA. This is a fantastic time for parents and teens to come together to grow in our friendship and faith. The camp week includes worship through song, games, teaching, carnival, and more.
